Configuring XP Operating system to Write Chinese

1) First check whether the East Asian Language package has already been install to your computer hard disk. If not, install it first by going to control panel, Regional Language Option, click “Install files for East Asian language” – restart computer and then …

2) Go to Control Panel and select Regional and Language Options

3) Under Regional Option, check selection is English (United States)

4) Go to Language – click Details

5) Under Settings – click Add

6) Select “Chinese PRC” for Input Language

7) Select “Chinese Simplified – QuanPin” for keyboard -OK

Click apply and OK – OK

9) Use Hanyu Pinyin to input Chinese (Using Words 2000)

Note: EN:CH change-over = shift + alt.

+/- to change “sets” of words
